The Right Stuff: Defining the Sustainability Professional in Higher Education will launch an ongoing discussion about defining the vocation, and supporting staff who wear green collars in ivory towers or wish to begin a career on a similar track. The first half hour will explore baselines for defining the profession. Then, the group will delve into job skills, resource sharing, professional societies, and move into two breakout groups based on experience level. We will conclude with a short wrap-up to capture ideas and inspirations. This plenary session will serve as the foundation for learning and conversation that will carry forward into the TRACS Vision session on the second day of the conference.
